Abstract: The research progress of short fiber reinforced aluminium matrix composites in recent years was reviewed. The composition and mechanical properties of short fiber reinforced aluminium matrix composites were briefly introduced. The characteristics of the preparation method of the extrusion casting method, the vacuum pressure impregnation method, the mechanical stirring method and the like for preparing the short fiber reinforced aluminum-based composite material were analyzed, and the application prospect of short fiber reinforced aluminum matrix composites was also prospected.
