Abstract:
The extrusion-forging composite forming of AZ80-CeTi magnesium alloy for automobile was carried out at different forging temperatures, and the tensile and impact properties were tested and analyzed. The results show that with the increase of forging temperature, the tensile strength, yield strength and impact absorbing energy of extrusion-forging composite forming specimens increase gradually first and then decrease slowly, the elongation decreases first and then increases. Compared with those of the forging temperature at 320 ℃, the tensile strength, yield strength and impact absorbing energy at 380 ℃ increase by 32 MPa, 35 MPa and 3.2 J, respectively, and the elongation decreases by only 1.4%. The optimum forging temperature of AZ80-CeTi magnesium alloy specimens by extrusion-forging composite forming is 380℃.
