Abstract:
Based on ANSYS finite element analysis software, the temperature field of 304 stainless steel laser powder filling welding joint was simulated by using the life-and-death element method. The indirect coupling method was used to simulate the stress field with the temperature field result as the applied load during the laser powder filling welding. And the results were compared with the residual stress measured by drilling method. The results show that the variation of simulated weld temperature field is in line with the characteristics of large temperature gradient in laser processing. And the residual stress of the welded joint is mainly distributed in the weld seam, which is in line with the characteristics of small heat affected zone of laser welding. Besides, the changing trend of the first principal stress along and vertical to the weld direction by simulation is basically consistent with the measured results.
