Abstract:
Based on C-Mn-Mo-Nb composition system, the industrial trial production of 600 MPa grade hot-rolled dual phase steel for wheels was successfully carried out in 1780 hot continuous rolling line by two-stage cooling and medium temperature coiling process. The microstructure and mechanical properties of the test steel were analyzed. The results show that the test steel has good mechanical properties, its yield strength reaches 464.8 MPa, tensile strength reaches 697 MPa, the ratio of yield strength to tensile strength is 0.67, the elongation reaches 21.5%, and the impact work is above 80 J in the temperature from-70℃ to 20℃, and the maximum reaming rate is over 90%. The austenite grain can be refined by adding a small amount of Nb, which can effectively compensate for the decrease of austenite stability caused by the decrease of Mo content.
