Abstract:
The two welding methods of high-frequency pulse MAG welding and conventional pulse MAG welding were used for the fully penetrated welding comparative tests of T-joint of S355J2W+N weather-resistant steel for bogie welding frame. After welding, the macroscopic observation and metallographic analysis of the specimens were carried out, and the hardness of the specimens was tested by Vickers hardness tester. The results show that under the two welding methods, the forming of the welded joint is good, there are no defects such as non-fusion, crack, porosity and so on, and the phenomenon of "reverse melting" appears in the weld root, and the root fusion is good. The high frequency pulse MAG weld contains a large amount of acicular ferrite, and the side plate ferrite in the conventional pulse MAG weld is not observed. The grains of the conventional pulse MAG welding CGHAZ are coarser. The hardness value of the two welded joints is less than 380HV10,which is in line with the welding procedure evaluation requirements.
