Abstract:
The application of 35MnVS non-quenching and tempering steel in JX493 engine connecting rod was investigated. The influence of forging heating temperature and cooling rate on the structure and properties of connecting rod forgings was discussed.The results show that the forging heating temperature and cooling rate have obvious influence on the microstructure and properties of the products.When the forging temperature is 1200℃and the cooling rate is 80℃/min, the hardness of the forging is 285 HB, and the microstructure is ferrite and pearlite.In actual production, connecting rod forgings were produced according to this process. After 20 batches of batch production, products with excellent microstructure and performance can be obtained, and the quality is stable and reliable.
