Abstract: High pressure water jet technology has been widely used in the aero-engine field because of its low cost,environmental friendliness and strong adaptability. The principle and characteristics of high pressure water jet technology were briefly introduced, and the research and application of high pressure water jet technology in aero-engines were reviewed from four aspects: coating removal, cutting processing, impact strengthening and other applications. Finally, it is pointed that the development and application of high-pressure water jet technology can be further promoted by means of integrating intelligence and flexibility, carrying out some related mechanism research, and realizing technology recombination.
