Abstract:
The effects of solution and aging treatment on the microstructure and mechanical properties of TB9 titanium alloy were studied by metallurgical microscope and room temperature tensile test. That results indicate that the higher the solution temperature, the larger the β grain size, the α phase will gradually melt back into the matrix, the grain boundaries will begin to disappear, and the tensile strength is gradually reduced from 929 MPa to 885 MPa, the plasticity changes α little. As the aging temperature increases, the acicular α phase is gradually precipitated in the microstructure, and the distribution in the β phase is more uniform. The strength is significantly reduced. When the aging temperature rises by 100 ℃, the tensile strength decreases by more than 300 MPa, and the yield strength decreases by 270 MPa.
