Abstract:
The Al
0.1CoCrFeNi high-entropy alloy and 1060 Al plate were welded by explosive welding using aluminum honeycomb structure explosive sensitized by hollow glass microspheres. In order to test the welding characteristics of Al
0.1CoCrFeNi and Al, the morphology and composition of the welding interface were characterized by a scanning electron microscope(SEM)equipped with energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS).The results show that explosive welding technology is a good method for joining high-entropy alloys with aluminum. Some cracks perpendicular to the interface are observed in the interfacial melting zone of the welded samples obtained under high-speed collision, but they do not extend to the substrate. The hardness test results show that the overall hardness of the high-entropy alloy increases significantly after explosive welding, while the hardness of the aluminum side does not change significantly. The corrosion test shows that the high entropy alloy has good corrosion resistance.
