Abstract:
ZrO
2 coating was prepared on Ti6Al4V surface by plasma sputtering coating technology to improve its wear resistance. SEM and XRD were used to detect the surface morphology and microstructure composition of ZrO
2 coating, and the microhardness tester and tribometer were used to evaluate the mechanical properties and wear resistance of the coating, and the tribological wear behavior of ZrO
2 coating was analyzed. The results show that when the sputtering power is 150 W, the ZrO
2 coating thickness is largest, about 6.4 μm, the coating and matrix are well bonded, the thickness is uniform, the structure is compact, there are no obvious cracks, holes and other defects, the main phase of the coating is monoclinic ZrO
2(M-ZrO
2).The microhardness of the ZrO
2 coating surface is 430.0 HV, which is 1.16 times of matrix. The friction coefficient of ZrO
2 coating decreases less than that of the substrate, but the wear volume and specific wear rate decrease obviously, which indicate that the wear resistance has been greatly improved. The wear mechanism of ZrO
2 coating is mainly abrasive wear.
