Abstract:
In order to study the forming law of ball head in roll cross wedge rolling of ball pin, Deform-3D finite element simulation and point tracking analysis were used to obtain the metal flow and distribution law of ball head and the stress strain curves. The results show that the forming position of the ball head in the original blank is determined by metal volume distribution, and the metal flow track of the ball head is obtained, which is in the form of periodic spiral line motion.The axial equivalent stress of the ball head increases first, then decreases, and finally tends to stabilize. When the metal is formed near the ball head, the stress still increases, and the time to the maximum value is prolonged. The axial equivalent strain value of the ball head increases gradually until the rolling is completed and the equivalent strain value reaches the maximum, The strain rate of the metal near material head increases rapidly and the strain value increases.
