Abstract:
The forced cooling process can speed up the hot coil flow and improve the production efficiency.By analyzing the microstructure and mechanical properties of low-carbon aluminum killed steel, the effects of different cooling processes on the microstructure and roll-through properties of the steel were compared. The results show that compared with natural cooling, the grain size of the forced cooling process is relatively uniform, and there are few precipitates in both. The strength of the forced cooling process has been improved to a certain extent.The yield strength of the (550±30)℃ water-in process is about 30 MPa higher than that of the natural cooling process on average.At the same time, the uniformity of the roll-through performance is also effectively improved.The selection of a water-cooling process with an inlet water temperature of(400±30)℃ can ensure proper strength and the difference in roll-through performance is controlled within 20 MPa.
