Abstract:
A 2D finite element model of high-frequency induction-assisted self-propagating synthesis of TiAl coating was established using Deform. The temperature distribution of the substrate and the compact during the heating process before the reaction was analyzed.Orthogonal experiment with three factors and three levels of process parameters was designed with the minimum temperature difference of the compact at the reaction time as the test target. The results show that the order of the factors affecting the temperature difference is induction current, compact density, and indenter material. The optimal combination of process parameters is:induction current 300 A, compact density 88.5% and graphite indenter.
