Abstract:
The weld between channel head nozzle and safe end of steam generator belongs to typical dissimilar steel weld. The welding tests using austenitic stainless steel welding wire and nickel base alloy welding wire were carried out respectively, and the effects of the two welding materials on the mechanical properties and microstructure of heat affected zone of the joints were compared and analyzed. The results show that the tensile property and bending property of the joints welded by the two materials are good, which can meet the requirements of the standards. However, considering that the weld in high irradiation condition, it is more advantageous to select nickel based alloy welding material.
