Abstract:
The production process of 100 mm thick EH36 structural steel for offshore engineering produced by TMCP process was introduced.Submerged arc welding technology was used to weld the steel plate under 15 kJ/cm and 50 kJ/cm line energy respectively. The microstructure, mechanical properties of the base metal and welded joint and the crack tip opening displacement (CTOD) of the welded joint at -10 ℃were analyzed. The results show that using ultra-low carbon multi-microalloy composition design, the 100 mm thick EH36 steel plate produced by TMCP process has good mechanical properties, and the base metal and the welded joint with different heat input have excellent low temperature cracking resistance.
