Abstract:
The microstructure of the casting Al-5Cu alloy is coarse and there is a large amount of Al
2Cu phase eutectic structure in the matrix, and its yield strength and elongation are 60MPa and 3.6%, respectively.The microstructure of the alloy is refined by ordinary rolling and orthogonal rolling of the cast alloy, and the distribution of the eutectic structure in the matrix is more uniform, the yield strength of the alloy is increased to 171.9 MPa and 176.7 MPa respectively, and the elongation reaches 6.8% and 10.2% respectively.Firstly, the Al-5Cu alloy was homogenized at 520℃for 24 h, and then performed orthogonal rolling, and the ultimate tensile strength and yield strength of the Al-5Cu alloy reaches to 213.2 MPa and 177.9 MPa, respectively, the elongation increases to 16%.The orthogonal rolling after homogenization treatment can make the performance improvement of the casting Al-5Cu alloy more significant.
