Abstract:
Box-Behnken design (BBD) response surface methodology was used to analyse the influence of welding process parameters(rotational speed, plunge depth and sleeve motion speed)on the tensile shear load of 7050/2524 aluminum alloy RFSSW joint. Moreover, the regression equation between process parameters and tensile shear load was established. The results show that the tensile shear load increases first and then decreases with the increase of rotational speed, plunge depth and sleeve motion speed. The optimized process parameters are rotational speed of 1493 r/min, plunge depth of 3 mm and sleeve motion speed of 1.0 mm/s.
