Abstract:
SAF2507 super duplex stainless steel plates were stamped at 1050-1250℃, and the microstructure and mechanical properties of test samples at different hot stamping temperatures were studied by SEM, EDS and mechanical testing methods. The microstructure results show that at 1050-1250℃, the microstructure consists of ferrite phase and austenite phase. With the temperature increasing, the stripe characteristics of two phases are rapidly weakened, the volume fraction of the ferrite phase increases, and that of austenite phase decreases. Austenite phase continues to transform into ferrite phase. The mechanical performance test results show that ferrite phase improve tensile strength and Rockwell hardness, and reduce elongation, sectional shrinkage and impact energy. The test results of comprehensive microstructure and mechanical properties show that at 1050℃ hot stamping, the volume content of ferrite phase and austenite phase in microstructure of the steel are equal. At this time, the material has the highest strong plastic product and the best mechanical properties.
