Abstract: Cleaning technology possesses the great significance for the resource utilization and environmental protection of modern marine industry, thus it has attracted extensive attention and research now. The basic situation of cleaning technology was summarized. Secondly, focusing on the strategy of building a maritime power, the characteristics, research status and application of several cleaning methods for marine engineering equipment were introduced. Finally,the main development trend of laser cleaning in the future was analyzed based on the above.
