Abstract:
The microstructure, grain orientation and mechanical property of GH605 strip after different heat treatment processes were observed by optical microscope, XRD and tensile tester.The results show that, a large number of carbides are distributed irregularly in the cold rolled GH605 strip. After 900 ℃/continuous annealed, the carbides begin to dissolve and sub-boundaries appear.After continuous annealed and water quenched at 1180 ℃, the carbides are completely dissolved, and the strip is recrystallized completely, along with a large number of twins appears. Furthermore, the texture of the cold rolled GH605 strip is the weakest after 900 ℃/continuous annealed, and there is no major texture. With continuous annealed and water quenched at 1180 ℃, the texture strength increases and the main texture changes to 110< 001>.With the increase of heat treatment temperature, the strength of GH605 strip decreases and the plasticity improves. Moreover, the strip by continuous annealed at 1180 ℃has the best comprehensive properties of strength and plasticity.
