Abstract:
In order to study the effect of squeeze casting pressure on the microstructure, corrosion resistance and wear resistance of A356 automobile aluminum alloy, A356 aluminum alloy samples were prepared by different squeeze casting pressures, and the microstructure, corrosion resistance and wear resistance were analyzed. The results show that with the increase of squeeze casting pressure from 25 MPa to 125 MPa, the microstructure of the alloy sample is refined first and then coarsened, the corrosion potential moves positively at first and then negatively, the wear volume decreases first and then increases, and the corrosion resistance and wear resistance both increase firstly and then decrease.Compared with that of the alloy under the squeeze casting pressure of 25MPa, when the extrusion casting pressure is 100MPa, the corrosion potential of the A356 aluminum alloy is positively shifted by 14% and the wear volume is reduced by 38%.The corrosion resistance and wear resistance of the alloy are significantly improved. The squeeze casting pressure of the automotive A356 aluminum alloy is preferably 100 MPa.
