Abstract:
A new Al-Si-Zn-Sb casting aluminum alloy was prepared by using the waste aluminum piston as the main raw material, adding a certain proportion of the alloy elements of zinc and stibium, and refining and metamorphization. The results show that compared with those of the waste aluminum piston, the hardness of Al-Si-Zn-Sb casting aluminum alloy is increased to n1.96 times, the tensile strength is increased to more than 1.6 times, while the elongation rate remains almost unchanged, meeting the hardness and strength requirements of the aluminum alloy core box die.At the same time, the wear rate ofthe new alloydecreases bymore than 50%.The α (Al) phase is evenly distributed in the new alloy microstructure, the eutectic Si phase is short bar shaped and the needle shape is not obvious, and the microstructure characteristics are beneficial to the comprehensive mechanical properties of the alloy.
