Abstract:
In order to improve the service life of stamping die, AlCrN coatings with different arc currents(120, 130, 140 A) were prepared on 5Cr8MoVSi die steel substrate by arc ion plating technology. The microstructure and properties of the coatings were systematically studied by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, micro Vickers hardness tester, laser confocal microscope and ring block sliding friction and wear tester. The results show that the phase composition of AlCrN coatings with different arc currents is hard AlN phase and matrix phase. The microstructure, microhardness, roughness and friction and wear properties of the coating change with the increase of arc current from 120 A to 140 A. When the arc current is 130 A, the prepared AlCrN coating has the best comprehensive performance.
