Abstract:
W ball/Zr-based amorphous alloy composites were prepared by infiltration and rapid solidification. The mechanical properties of the composites were tested by variable temperature compression test, the temperature is 25 ℃, 300 ℃,350 ℃, 380 ℃, 400 ℃, 460 ℃, 500 ℃ and 650 ℃. The effects of temperature on the mechanical properties and deformation behavior of the W ball/Zr-based amorphous alloy composites was researched in detail. The results show that the yield strength of the composites decreases and the plastic strain increases with the increase of the temperature. The main reason for the analysis is that the composites are softened and crystallized. The fracture mode of amorphous alloy composites is different at different temperature range. At low temperature, W ball/Zr-based amorphous composites can be broken by shear fracture.When the temperature is greater than 350 ℃, the plastic strain of the composite is greater than 30%, and the composite does not fail under compression load.
