Abstract:
Laser cladding metal-based TiB
2 composite coatings are widely used in the production of mechanical parts and surface repair due to their high melting point, wear resistance, high hardness and oxidation resistance. With the continuous advancement of the sustainable development strategy integrating the effective use of resources and the remanufacturing of mechanical products, the application prospects of this type of coating are broader. The advantages and application status of TiB
2 ceramic coatings, focusing on the improvement of the surface properties of the substrate by laser cladding TiB
2 composite coatings on different substrates were briefly introduced, as well as the effects of laser specific energy, scanning speed and element addition on TiB
2 coatings. The influences of structure and performance, and the future development of TiB
2 composite coating prepared by laser cladding technology were prospected.
