Abstract: The specific research progress of the tundish covering agent during the current continuous casting process was systematically summarized, and the alkaline tundish covering agent was mainly summarized.It was pointed out that its existing shortcomings such as poor thermal insulation performance, prone to crusting phenomenon and low cleanliness, and the corresponding solutions were given.Finally, the development of tundish covering agent technology was prospected.
