Abstract:
The influence of hydrogen on slurry wear was investigated. The wear rate caused by abrasive wear, corrosive wear and hydrogen should be considered during the wear. The results show that the hydrogen can induce the crack nucleation and propagation during wear and deteriorate the wear resistance. Although the martensitic steel shares the same hardness, even a better corrosive resistance compared with that of the bainitic steel, the bainitic steel has a better wear resistance. This is due to the finer microstructure and higher volume fraction of RA(retained austenite), which can provide plenty of hydrogen trapping sites and enhance the resistance of hydrogen embrittlement.
