Abstract:
The influence of different groove on the welding residual stress and deformation of the 310S stainless steel spiral double-sided T-shaped welded joint was modeled and analyzed by using the Abaqus finite element software. First, three different grooves were designed according to the steel structure design specifications: fillet weld, symmetrical full penetration weld, and symmetrical non-full penetration weld. Then, using the double ellipsoid heat source model to simulate the welding temperature field, and the residual welding stress and residual angular deformation of the three groove welding joints were calculated and analyzed. The results show that the symmetrical full penetration weld design performs well in terms of welding residual stress and residual angular deformation, which is better than the other two groove designs, and it is suitable for the double-sided spiral T-shaped weld in this study.
