Abstract:
The dissimilar metals of 1100 pure aluminum wire and CP wire were connected by percussive welding, and the mechanical properties of the welded joints under different welding currents were analyzed. During the welding process, arc voltage and welding current signals were collected, and arc morphology was recorded by high-speed digital camera, and the physical characteristics of the whole welding process were analyzed. The results show that the whole welding process has experienced short-circuit contact, arc starting, arc burning and workpiece combination. As the welding current increases, the arc column expands and the temperature increases, the weld width and weld height increase, and the tensile strength is improved. However, excessive current causes the molten metal to collapse, which affects the shape of the solder joint and results in a slight decrease in the strength of the welded joint. By optimizing the welding parameters, the truncated-cone-shaped welding joint is obtained when the current is 76 A, and the maximum tensile load can reach 50.22 N.
