Abstract:
In order to fully understand the microstructure and properties of Ti alloyed building structural steel, TiC precipitation behavior and strengthening mechanism, the microstructure, yield strength, tensile strength, and corrosion resistance of Ti alloyed structural steel under different heat treatments and cooling conditions were studied by using the optical microscope, tensile testing machine and electrochemical workstation. The results show that Ti alloying and increasing heat treatment cooling rate contribute to the grain refinement, and improve the strength and corrosion resistance of traditional structural steel. However, the faster cooling rate is not conducive to the precipitation of TiC, so that the precipitation strengthening effect of Ti-containing steel is not obvious, and the increase in yield strength and tensile strength of titanium-containing steel is not obvious. Based on this, on the basis of traditional structural steel, through Ti alloying and the change of processing process, it develops high strength and corrosion resistant structural steel, which can provide reference for the subsequent development of Ti alloy structural steel.
