Abstract:
It is difficult to form a deep hole cylindrical part with a bottom flange. A composite forming process of upsetting and extrusion was proposed for this forging. The true stress-true strain curve of the forging material was obtained using the high temperature compression test. The finite element simulation software Deform-3D was used to analyze the metal flow in the forming process of deep hole flanged cylindrical parts. According to the load-stroke curve and the equivalent stress distribution diagram, the rationality of the die structure was verified. The equivalent strain distribution figure shows that the wall of the cylinder is easy to produce appearance defects, and attention should be paid to the lubrication conditions of the deep hole extrusion process. The deep hole and bottom flange cylindrical forgings obtained through the process test have no defects in appearance.
