Abstract:
As an advanced surface modification technology, laser cladding technology is widely used in aerospace, automotive, railway and other industries.The research progress of rare earth in laser cladding was reviewed.The strengthening mechanism of rare earth in laser cladding was discussed from the effects of rare earth on the molten pool, dilution rate, high-temperature decomposition and its characteristics.The application of pure rare earth elements, rare earth oxides and rare earth compounds in laser cladding was described.The effects of different rare earth oxides, pure rare earth elements, rare earth oxides and powder size on the properties of laser cladding coatings were compared and analyzed. Finally, the research status of rare earth in laser cladding was summarized and prospected.
