Abstract:
CO
2 gas shielded welding is an early developed arc welding technology, which is widely used due to its low cost, high efficiency, easy operation and other characteristics. However, there are also disadvantages in the welding process, such as high spatter and poor forming, which limits its further promotion and application. With the development of CO
2 gas shielded welding technology, the scholars in China and foreign countries provided a series of solutions for the problems of CO
2 welding. The research status in China and foreign countries was summarized from four aspects of welding power control technology, change of protective gas ratio, welding wire composition optimization and magnetic field assisted welding.
