Abstract:
The carbon steel and stainless steel were rolled and combined by hot rolling method, and the hot rolled composite plate was carried by quenching and tempering treatment. The research results show that the diffusion of carbon element in carbon steel to the stainless steel leads to the intercrystalline sensitization of the stainless steel clad layer, which reduces the corrosion resistance of the stainless steel clad layer. Compared with the hot rolling, the sensitization effect of quenching and tempering treatment is more significant. After quenching and tempering treatment, the strength and hardness of hot rolled composite plate are increased, but the toughness is decreased. The hardness of stainless steel layer near the interface increases remarkably due to a large amount of carbide dispersion, resulting in precipitation hardening, and the highest hardness can reach 370 HV.
