TC4钛合金贮箱低压爆破的失效分析

    Failure Analysis of Low Pressure Exploded TC4 Titanium Tank

    • 摘要: 通过宏观检验、断口分析、金相检验对某TC4钛合金贮箱赤道焊缝低压爆破进行了综合失效分析。结果表明:在焊接过程中焊缝中心逐渐偏离焊接对接面,使得焊缝上部的熔池边界与焊缝对接面重合,产生半熔化区和大量小气孔。半熔化区强度和韧性低,加上密集分布着大量的小气孔形成了面缺陷,减少了焊缝的有效截面,加剧了应力集中程度。最终在打压过程中以焊缝上部的半熔化区和小气孔为裂纹源,形成脆性断口,造成了贮箱的低压爆破。最后根据分析结果提出了相应改进建议。

       

      Abstract: The reason of low pressure explosion of TC4 titanium tank equatorial weld was investigated by macroscopic examination, fracture analysis and metallographic examination. The results show that during the welding, the weld center gradually deviates from the joint junction face, the molten pool boundary at the top weld position is close to or even coincide with the joint junction face, then partially molten zone with low strength and toughness and many tiny plane-distributed pores are formed, which reduces the effective cross-section of the weld and intensifies stress concentration. During the process of pressure test, the crack source is located at partially molten zone and pores, and the brittle fracture is formed, which causes low pressure explosion of the tank. Finally, according to the analysis results,corresponding suggestions for improvement were put forward.
