Abstract:
Three kinds of six tons of steel ingots that have different temperature windows of the solid-liquid regions were simulated and studied by casting simulation analysis software. The results show that the solidification mode of steels with different liquid-solid phase zone varies greatly. According to the temperature interval of the two-phase region, the solidification mode shows the change from "U" overall solidification mode to "V" sequential solidification mode. The anatomical results of the field steel ingot feeder show that, the depth of the primary shrinkage hole is close to the actual shrinkage hole depth, which proves that the simulation results have a high degree of conincidence with the field test results.
