Abstract:
The electro-zinc-plated and electro-nickel-plated iron matrix were hot-dipped in A356 melt respectively, and the composite samples of QT400 and A356 alloys were prepared. The composite interface and the influence of zinc coating and nickel coating in the composite process were analyzed from the aspects of thickness of the composite layer, morphology and micromechanical properties. The results show that the iron/aluminum solid-liquid composite can be effectively realized by electrogalvanizing/electroplating nickel pretreatment process. The composite layer of composite specimen formed by the zinc-coated iron sheet is thicker, and the microhardness of the composite layer is also large. Nickel plating has the effect of inhibiting the growth of intermetallic compounds. Within 5 min-35 min of hot soaking time, the thickness of the composite layer is proportional to the square root of the composite time.
