Abstract:
Magnesium alloy components fabricated by wire arc additive manufacturing process have good forming accuracy and performance, but compared with metal materials such as titanium alloy, aluminum alloy and steel, the industrial application maturity of magnesium alloy arc additive manufacturing is still relatively low. It is of great significance to explore the potential of further optimization of structure and properties for low melting point metals such as magnesium alloys by analyzing the formation and evolution of wire arc additive manufacturing structure. The metallurgical process characteristics and performance of magnesium alloy fabricated by wire arc additive manufacturing were briefly discussed and summarized, the existing process characteristics of metal wire arc additive manufacturing performance improvement were reviewed, and the improvement direction of magnesium alloy arc additive manufacturing performance was prospected.
