Abstract:
Ta10W alloy spherical powders were prepared through electron beam melting ingot-hydrogenation crushing-plasma spheroidization process. The spherical powders were used for SLM(selective laser melting) printing experiments. The results show that after plasma spheroidization treatment, the sphericity of the initial powder approaches 100%.
D10,
D50and
D90of the spherical powders are 16.7 μm, 27.3 μm and 53.8 μm, respectively, and there is basically no hollow powder particles. The printed sample surface is smooth and crack-free. The complete parts can be obtained by printing with the spherical powders, which indicates that the spherical powders have good printing characteristics. After 1450 ℃×1 h annealing treatment, the yield strength of the printed specimen is up to 600 MPa, the tensile strength reaches 740 MPa, and the elongation reaches more than 30%, the comprehensive mechanical properties are superior to those of the traditionally hotworked Ta10W alloy.
