Abstract:
The failure of martensite/ferrite-austenite heat-resistant steel dissimilar joint is directly related to the safe operation of boilers. The relevant domestic and foreign studies in recent years were reviewed, and the characteristics of the welding methods and welding materials, joint failure, joint microstructure and hardness distribution, and factors affecting joint failure were summarized. The results show that the welding method of martensite/ferrite-austenite heat resistant steel dissimilar joint is preferred to tungsten electrode argon arc welding, and the most suitable welding material is nickel base alloy. Martensite/ferrite-austenite heat-resistant steel dissimilar joints are prone to early failure in service, the side fusion zone and fine grain zone/incomplete phase transformation zone of martensite/ferrite steel are weak links, and the failure modes are mainly type IV, VI, and VII cracks. The factors affecting failure include δ ferrite and ferrite softening zone, unmixed zone, carbon migration, softening of fine grain zone/incomplete phase transformation zone, and stress.
