Abstract:
In recent years, high-entropy alloys with the characteristic of multi-component nearly equal-volume solubility have shown great potential of application in various fields such as industrial production, resource development and aerospace. The use of rapid deposition technology to prepare high-entropy alloy coatings on conventional metal components can effectively improve the service performance of the components' surface. However, the problems of microstructural defects and large residual stresses caused by high heat input and rapid cooling during rapid deposition process still need to be further solved for the high-entropy alloys. Introducing external energy fields such as magnetic field and electric field during the rapid solidification process can effectively improve the performance of high entropy alloys by improving the molten pool flow and temperature gradient during the forming process. The working principles of different external energy fields assisted rapid deposition preparation technologies such as magnetic field, ultrasonic field and electric field for high entropy alloys were introduced, focusing on the microstructure and performance of high entropy alloys produced by rapid deposition under the assistance of energy fields, and the regulation mechanisms of structure and performance of high entropy alloys by external energy fields were summarized and expounded. Finally, the research trends of rapid deposition preparation of high entropy alloys assisted by external energy fields were prospected.
