Abstract:
With the sharp rise in the amount of titanium used in military, aerospace, chemical and other industries, the titanium processing industry in China has been further expanded. Due to the close correlation between the mechanical properties of titanium alloys and their microstructure, the heat treatment, as a primary means of regulating microstructure and enhancing performance, has also developed rapidly driven by demand. In titanium alloys, TC series is the most used series, its heat treatment process flexibility is high, the performance improvement is obvious. Annealing, solid solution, quenching, aging, multiple heat treatment, chemical heat treatment, deformation heat treatment, cycle heat treatment, cryogenic treatment and the extended processes were summarized. The current research status of TC series titanium alloys was reviewed, and the existing challenges and suggestions for future development were put forward, in order to provide a reference for future research on optimizing the heat treatment properties of TC series titanium alloys.
