Research Progress on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Gradient Structure Magnesium Alloys Prepared by Torsion Deformation

    • The strength and ductility of traditional magnesium alloys are still relatively low, and it is difficult to improve at the same time, which greatly limits the application in engineering. A large number of studies show that the crystal defects with a gradient structure can effectively increase the strength of the material, optimize its toughness and achieve a perfect fit between strength and toughness. Through torsion deformation, a crystal defect gradient structure can be introduced into the magnesium alloy material to realize the interaction and coordination between the gradient layers, thereby greatly optimize and improve the overall performance of the magnesium alloy material. The research background, preparation principle, microstructure characteristics and performance effects of using torsion deformation method to prepare gradient magnesium alloy materials were summarized. The application prospect of using torsion deformation method to optimize the properties of magnesium alloy materials was discussed
