Research Progress on Corrosion Behavior of Low Cr Steel in Oil and Gas Field Environment

Low Cr steel was widely used in oil and gas field environment due to its outstanding economy and corrosion resistance, and the corrosion research of low Cr steel was always the focus of attention in the oil and gas field extraction industry. According to the characteristics of environmental corrosion in oil and gas fields, the influence of various factors on the corrosion behavior of low Cr steel in CO₂and H₂S environment were introduced. The corrosion mechanism of low Cr steel was analyzed, and the deficiencies and existing problems of the corrosion protection of low Cr steel in oil and gas field environment were pointed out, so as to provide some references for the future research and development direction of low Cr steel.
