Influence of Environmental Factors on Corrosion Behavior of N80 Steel in Simulated Oilfield Produced Fluids

    • The corrosion behavior of N80 steel under different environmental factors was explored. Polarization Curve, AC impedance spectroscopy test, SEM and other methods were used to study the effects of H+, S2- and Cl- ions on the corrosion behavior of N80 steel in saturated CO2 simulated oilfield production fluid. The results show that the influence of the three aggressive ions on the corrosion behavior of N80 steel is H+, S2-, Cl-.The corrosion rate of N80 steel increases with the concentration of three kinds of aggressive ions. In the environment of low concentration of Cl-, the corrosion morphology of N80 steel is mainly mesa corrosion and local corrosion, and in the environment of high concentration Cl-, it is mainly pitting corrosion. H+ can cause serious local corrosion and uniform corrosion of N80 steel, and the corrosion failure of N80 steel caused by S2-is mainly local corrosion.
