Exploration of Disc Cutting Ring of Full Section Rock Tunnel Boring Machine

A number of samples were taken from cutter rings after dismantling domestic and imported disc cutters, and the chemical composition, mechanical properties and microstructure were compared and analyzed.The test results show that the chmical composition of the imported cutter ring steel is similar to that of 40CrNiMo and that of the domestic cutter ring steel is similar to that of 5Cr5MoSiV1.Compared with the domestic cutter ring, the imported cutter ring has good hardness and impact toughness, and it has tempered lath martensite microstructure with excellent comprehensive properties.
