Abstract
This article aims to explore the application of CoNiCrFeCu-Sc high-entropy alloy as a brazing material in laser brazing of hard alloy and steel. Firstly, the CoNiCrFeCu-Sc high-entropy alloy brazing material was synthesized using a high-vacuum non-consumable arc melting process. The effects of laser power and laser scanning speed on the microstructure and bend strength of laser-brazed joints between hard alloy and steel were investigated. The bending strength was utilized to assess the mechanical performance of the brazed joints. For hard alloy and steel with a thickness of 3 mm, the optimal process parameters when using CoNiCrFeCu-Sc as the brazing material are a laser power of 1400 W, laser scanning speed of 0.012m/s, pure argon as the protective gas with a flow rate of 23 L/min, defocus distance of-8 mm. Under these conditions, the bend strength of the brazed joint can reach 411.5 MPa.
